Jazzy Jay's illustrious career began in the streets of the Bronx in the early '70s as a Zulu King B-Boy and DJ under the guidance of Afrika Bambaataa. His heavily edited resume list includes: Universal Zulu Nation DJ, starred in the Hip Hop classic film "Beat Street" and contributed to its soundtrack, co-produced the groundbreaking hit "Planet Rock' with Afrika Bambaataa and The Soul Sonic Force, co-founded Def Jam records with Rick Rubin and Russell Simmons, working with artists such as LL Cool J, Beastie Boys, and Public Enemy, etc...
