Harder Than You Think

The track 'Harder Than You Think' by Public Enemy, was the first single from the album, How You Sell Soul To Soulless People Who Sold Their Soul??. The album was meant to mark Public Enemy's 20th anniversary and was released in 2008.

After all these years, Public Enemy have proven themselves to be legends rather than has-beens. They still have it in them and without a doubt, are on top of their game (unlike those Teflon (non-stick) commercial stuff that are playing on MTV).

For reasons unknown, every time I hear this track, I feel that warm fuzzy feeling running through me and it brings back memories of how I got started with hip-hop. This is what the real deal is about, not some flashy showy-mowy jimbang.

P.S.: After all these years, Flava Flav is still the only one who is able to pull off that quirky sense of fashion that is unique only to him. Others have tried and failed miserably. Remember kids, don't try it at home.
