Condolences from the common man to technological luminaries started pouring into the Internet from all over the world, as the people lament the loss of, possibly the greatest innovator in recent history, a visionary, and an insanely great mind.
Without a doubt, Steve Jobs not only revolutionised the technological world, but changed the way people lived their lives. His technological innovations have become an extension of people's lives.
As a DJ and a musician, I cannot tell you how much Apple products have made life so much easier. I believe if you belong to the music, design or film industry, you would see where I am coming from.
So, even though I have never met Steve Jobs in person, I would just like to say: A very big thank you to you, Sir! You have left behind an excellent legacy and an inspiration for other minds to learn and follow.
I shall end this post with a paragraph taken from Steve Jobs speech, at Stanford University's commencement in June 2005.
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
Peace.
