Flyer: Pushin' On Crew
This month, the guys at Pushin' On Crew are bringing down a special guest, all the way from UK, and he goes by the name of Mr Thing. For the uninitiated, Mr Thing (Extended Players, UK) was one of the original founding members of the turntablist collective, Scratch Perverts, clinching the prestigious, and coveted, DMC Team World Champion title in 1999.
Mr Thing has always been one of my favourite turntablists, due to his rhythmic and groovy scratches and his strong sense of musicality on the ones-and-twos. We will definitely be down for this event and you should too. It is an opportunity not to be missed! Mark it down on your calendars and get your tickets soon, as they are limited. Don't sleep on this eh! = )

Mr Thing is one of the original founding members of The Scratch Perverts and has performed with DJ Jazzy Jeff, Beastie Boys, KRS One, J Live, Marley Marl, DJ Premier, DJ Vadim, Run DMC, and Slum Village. He has numerous titles including DMC TEAM WORLD CHAMP (SCRATCH PERVERTS) 1999, DMC UK CHAMP 2000 and DMC WORLD 3RD PLACE 2000.
This is strictly a ticket-only event with limited numbers available. Pre-sale tickets are available at Blu Jaz level 2 and Straits Records (Bali Lane) at $15 each (including one drink). Any remaining tickets will be available at the door on the night, but we strongly advise to buy in advance to avoid disappointment. Hip Hop and Funk heads don't sleep on this one!
