Japan has been in the media spotlight for the past couple of days. Graphic video footages and pictures of the tsunami and the damage it left behind has been plastering the TV screens and the newspapers. To make things worse, there are worries of a full-scale nuclear meltdown due to power failures in the nuclear plants. It seems, the situation is barely hanging by a thread.
The Japanese community, together with the Singaporean community, have come together for a fund-raising event for the people of Japan. 'Gambatte! Japan From Singapore', is organised by Vivid Creations, Wakyo-Kai Singapore, Ayaschool and BluJaz, with Mercy Relief as the charity partner and media support provided by COMM Pte Ltd. A whole list of Japanese and Singaporean musicians, performers and artists have come forth to support this charity event.
If you are in Singapore, please do drop by to support this event. There are no minimum donations, for a little goes a long way. To the people of Japan, our prayers are with you. Stand up for Japan!
For more information, please do check out Gambatte! Japan From Singapore. Thank you!
