If you haven't heard, next Saturday's gonna be awesome, because the annual b-boy jam, Step It Up!, organised by the Inertia Crew is gonna be happening yeah. There will be 23 crews battling for the top spot in the 5-on-5 battle and also, eight specially selected b-boys, for the Powermove 7-To-Smoke battle.
What is truly amazing about this event is that it would feature all the 4 elements of Hip Hop in Singapore. Operation Artkore (representing Graffiti), Duels Official (representing MCing) and Xarin Garuda Manchild and yours truly (representing DJing), would all be coming down to show their love for their craft and Hip Hop.
Society brings about segregation by dividing people into specific race and religion. Hip Hop brings people together regardless of how different we are, because the passion for Hip Hop and our craft triumphs over anything else. We speak the same language, which is Hip Hop and the message which it spreads is one of true passion, true spirit and true love yeah. = )
