Mos Dub & Dub Kweli by Max Tannone

Max Tannone, formerly known as Minty Fresh Beats, is a DJ/Producer hailing from New York. He is known by his mash up projects - Jaydiohead (2009), Jaydiohead: The Encore (2009), Doublecheck Your Head (2009), Mos Dub (2010) and Dub Kweli (2010).

Mos Dub

I came across his Mos Dub LP and was blown away! Dope mash up of Mos Def's lyrics with classic Reggae/Dub like Johnny Too Bad - The Slickers, 1972, 007 (Shanty Town) - Desmond Dekker & The Aces, 1972, Dance of The Vampires - Scientist, 1981, Underground - Lee Perry, 1976 and more. More info on the project.

Dub Kweli

Another winning sequel to Mos Dub! The beauty of this and Mos Dub is the seamless integration of vocals to the music and how well thought out they were. Both monobono and I agree this is not just a simple remix of throwing vocals over another instrumental track. More info on the project.
