Now, now, how can I put up Max Romeo's 'Chase The Devil' without putting up Lee "Scratch" Perry's dub version of the track, 'Disco Devil'. I wouldn't be able to live with it eh.
All there is to this is nothing short of a bloddy awesome dub version of the track, nothing less from the man himself, Lee "Scratch" Perry. Although the track retains the same rhythm, Lee "Scratch" Perry decided to throw in a couple of backup singers, input his version of the lyrics (incomprehensible, but dope, lyrics that would put O.D.B. to shame) and put the track through the Dub blackhole space of filters. The end result is a lo-fi, gritty and harder(darker) version of the original, that just makes you wanna groove to it.
'I'm gonna put on an iron shirt, and DUB the devil outta earth'.
