It's Wrongtom.

I got to know about UK producer and DJ, Wrongtom, through remixes which he did with Roots Manuva. What began as a single remix project led to a couple more remixes which were released as bonus tracks under Roots Manuva's 'Slime & Reason'.

These remix skirmishes eventually culminated in the album 'Roots Manuva Meets Wrongtom: Duppy Writer', due for release in September 2010. Basically, the album is made up of new old tracks; re-worked/remixed tracks from Roots Manuva's previous albums. Before you jump the gun and brush the album off as just another 'lame remix project', all I can say is that judging from the short previews I have been hearing here and there, the vibe is pretty good and it is heavy (think dub heavy). This album will definitely be on my to-get list.

While waiting, just a lil something to get you all through the week. Wrongtom put together a couple of old tracks he did between 1999-2004 into an album titled 'Old Ghosts'. He has got an interesting vibe and sound going on for his tracks, considering they were tracks that were not intended for release. You can download the free album from Myuzyk.

Also, do check out the other free albums on the Myuzyk websites. They have a couple of good albums that are worth checking out and you have a choice between 320kbps or FLAC. Now, how awesome is that. = )
