If you happened to be in town last Saturday, then you would have seen a large group of people walking down the street, holding placards and dancing. If you are still clueless as to what was going on, let me just fill you in.
You see, this was actually a protest organised by new kids on the block Recognize Studios. Well, not exactly new to the block, Recognize Studios is actually helm by none other than the man himself, B-boy Felix, together with the Radikal Forze Crew and other like-minded dance instructors. Recognize Studios are not just another dance studio per se. Recognize! is a platform for all types of creative art-forms & creative usage, education & community building. It is a bridge to Movement, Sound and Visual arts. Conventional or Un-Conventional.
The march which they held last Saturday, was to raise people's awareness to their cause while showing them the creativity and talents of local performers. Here's the video if you had missed it.
Recognize The Scene
Great stuff, we definitely need more opportunities to showcase the good local acts and also, to garner the local support for these acts. Kudos to Recognize! Keep on doing what you guys are doing eh. = )
If you would like to know more about them, do check out Recognize Studios.
