Mr Chop - For Pete's Sake

Just got my records today and I was surprised by Mr Chop's For Pete's Sake LP. It is an amazing musical journey steep deeply into jazz, soul, funk, psychedelic rock, (real) hip hop with generous amounts of dub rubbed all over!

Mr. Chop is a producer, engineer and multi-instrumentalist for several Now-Again and Jazzman Records releases.

In this album, he reinterprets Pete Rock's classics from All Souled Out, Mecca and the Soul Brother, The Main Ingredient to Nas' The World is Yours and a Public Enemy remix - Shut 'Em Down. I especially enjoyed his Intermezzos 1 - 7. They fit in nicely and you can listen to the whole album without skipping any tracks.

Here are some of what I can find on YouTube:

You can sample the rest of LP from Stones Throw. Buy it and support real music!
