We all know, this week is gonna be a hell of a funky week but yeah, there can never be enough funk in your soul eh? The Pushin' On Crew are gonna up the ante by presenting to you their Mid-Month Funk Special but this event will be like no other. The Pushin' On Crew has gone all the way out, by inviting a special guest to grace their event. The person is none other than Miles Tackett, a.k.a Musicman Miles, founder of funk band Breakestra. So after two sessions of live performances at the Mosaic Music Festival, Musicman Miles will continue to drop more classic chunky funky breaks, soul and jazz records at Blu Jaz, alongside the usual perpetrators of funk, DJs Shellsuit, Chunk and Funk Bast*rd. The Pushin' On Crew has said that it will be all vinyl and all funky, with a disclaimer, 'Ok so Miles said he might play a few super rare tracks off CD but we'll let him off'. Be prepared to call in sick next week, for you are gonna get overloaded with funk this week till you OD, son.
