Can You Dig It?

Foxy Brown (1974)
Stumbled on this funky intro to a Blaxploitation classic - Foxy Brown, staring one of the finest women in history - Pam Grier! Dope soundtrack from Willie Hutch.

... so I decided to look around and see what else I could find. Enjoy.

Shaft (1971)
This is a must watch if you are curious about Blaxploitation movies. Classic intro with legendary soundtrack from the Black Moses - Isaac Hayes! The guitar and hi-hat build up is brilliant.

Superfly (1972)
Too bad I can't find Superfly's chase intro. This trailer will have to do. It features the same chase sequence track from Curtis Mayfield. Another classic with an equally classic soundtrack. I just wish there are more quality soundtracks like these out there right now, rather than some marketing BS compilation.

The Mack (1973)
Powerful dialogue. I am sure you all recognise the intro...

The original celluloid hustler. I remember some recent MTV BS attempt on the subject... pure garbage.

Jackie Brown (1997)
This isn't exactly a Blaxploitation movie, but I like how Quentin Tarantino managed to capture the essence of it in this short clip. Of course, Bobby Womack's soulful music did help.

This is just scratching the surface of the genre. Go find out more if you are interested... especially the soundtrack.
