Baltimore

This is my favourite song from Nina Simone - Baltimore, written by Randy Newman which first appeared on his 1977 Little Criminals LP. Although it is a cover song, she captured the song's story of struggle and hardship in the city of Baltimore beautifully and made it her own. I love the music on her version the best. Slow and heavy with a touch of emptiness...
